Today was an exhausting day, beginning at 9AM and concluding at midnight. The temperature dropped and inversely, spirits shot up. We began with several ice breakers and concluded with the BCS football game and an unbelievably delicious meal.

The cross the line game was novel and an interesting experience. I am familiar with the whole of the Bonners and for the most part the Alfonds, but connecting with them on a deeper and, as Kristyn Gorton put it, “sterile,” level made our relationships stronger and set a foundation for deeper friendship. On the other hand, we bonded extremely well over cooking. In the midst of cooking, Cailah, Elina, Divya, Avani, and I created a meal that I’m extremely proud of. However, Shree’s meal was unbelievably good!

I am really looking forward to the rest of this trip but am abhorrent toward the idea of tomorrow’s freezing weather.
