So today was a long day as well, but I have to discuss the idea that struck me in the midst of reflection. The issue we came up with was the difficulty in giving money to the homeless directly. There is always the potential that money will be utilized not for sustenance but rather for inebriation or intoxication. To remedy this, there could be a partnership between a local bank and an application. Consumers with smartphones would have the ability to donate to a specific account number. So, for example, I am driving on the road and see a man who is begging for money with the typical cardboard sign sharpied in with a plea for help. Instead, however, they would inscribe a code. So I would type int my phone that code and have the option to donate money to that person's account. The money in that account would be limited to the purchase of nonalcoholic drinks or food from stores like Publix or gas stations. Thus, the money is directed in receipt, limited in use, and free for both users.
Anyway, back to what else was on my mind, I was blown away by the defecation concept. Using the restroom is so fundamental and to have the ability to utilize a toilet is just bewildering. I'll think of solutions to this tonight.
The partnership you mentioned is an incredible idea! I had never considered that before. Innovative thinking :)
